Mr. Rose is a Partner in the Audit and Accounting Services Department. He is a 1986 cum laude graduate of Kent State University where he earned a bachelor of business administration degree with a major in accounting. Mr. Rose earned his master of business administration degree in 1994, also from Kent State.
Mr. Rose’s practice focuses on the audits of manufacturers and employee benefit plans. He is experienced in auditing the following employee benefit plans: single employer defined contribution, 401(k), and defined benefit; supplemental unemployment; voluntary employee beneficiary association (VEBA); deferred compensation; money purchase; and employee stock ownership plans (ESOP).
Mr. Rose’s experience also spans a broad range of industries, including service organizations, restaurants, and professional service firms. In addition to audit and review services, Mr. Rose frequently assists clients in the development and implementation of internal control policies and systems and standard accounting procedures.
He is an adjunct professor at Kent State University, teaching an advanced auditing course to graduate students. He has been an instructor at Cleveland State University where he taught graduate level courses on auditing standards and internal auditing. He has also taught several other advanced accounting courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Mr. Rose has been recognized as the Kent State University Department of Accounting Alumni of the Year for 2010.
