Accountant, Small Business Group (Part-time)
Ciuni & Panichi, Inc. has an immediate opening for a staff accountant with strong QuickBooks and tax preparation experience to provide bookkeeping, tax, and accounting services for a diverse portfolio of small business clients.
Responsibilities include planning and prepping for compilations, organizing and completing financial statements, data entry, preparing and processing business and individual tax returns (monthly/quarterly/annually), and performing bank reconciliations. This team member will also help with audit/tax engagement preparations, and assist clients with QuickBooks (desktop/online) set-up, training, and/or reporting.
The position is part-time, on average 28-36 hours a week, with the potential for full-time based candidate interest and work experience.
What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
- 3+ years of experience performing small business bookkeeping and accounting services
- 2+ years of experience preparing and/or processing business and individual tax returns
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks (Online & Desktop versions) and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to prioritize workload and successfully manage the competing needs of internal and external clients; experience working in a public accounting firm, a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with a diverse number of clients and managers
- Performs well in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment; quickly absorb and apply new information
- Flexibility to work periodic evenings/weekends to meet deadlines, and reliable transportation for travel to client worksites
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience preferred
- QuickBooks training and/or certification highly preferred; experience in CCH ProSystem software or equivalent a plus
