Mr. Komos has extensive experience in the real estate industry and its unique rules and planning opportunities for property owners and developers. His experience includes working on complex tax strategies, such as delayed like-kind exchanges and involuntary conversions. He has spoken frequently on tax planning and related issues at events sponsored by real estate industry organizations and has had numerous articles published in real estate industry publications.
His experience includes assisting in the design and implementation of numerous types of trusts, limited liability companies, and other tools to meet the client’s objectives. These plans often integrate both individual and business financial and tax strategies. Mr. Komos understands the importance of a team approach, and where appropriate, coordinates with other professional advisors such as his clients’ attorney, banker, and investment advisors to achieve his clients’ goals.
He began his career at Ciuni & Panichi, Inc. while attending John Carroll University. While at John Carroll University, he was an elected member of Beta Gamma Sigma, a national business honorary society, and the recipient of several academic awards and scholarships. Mr. Komos subsequently earned his master’s degree in taxation from Case Western Reserve University.
