While involved in many facets of client service, Mr. Panichi’s focus is on mergers and acquisitions and corporate financing. He represents clients from a diverse group of industries and often provides them with guidance on creating and implementing strategic plans, including business plans, securing traditional and non-traditional financing, analyzing potential mergers and acquisitions, and other general management consulting functions to create paths for growth. Additionally, Mr. Panichi serves on several corporate advisory boards.
Having been the firm’s first managing partner, Mr. Panichi uses a strong technical and theoretical background gained during his professional career, as well as nearly 30 years of academic experience. From 1960 to 1987, Mr. Panichi was a full-time accounting professor at John Carroll University, his alma mater. He also taught accounting for non-financial professionals as part of the school’s Associate and Professional Management Program.
From 1970 to 1978, Mr. Panichi was the chairman of the university’s Department of Accounting. He also served on many committees of the Faculty Forum, including two search committees for the Dean of the School of Business. Other accomplishments at the university include initiating a planned giving program and then serving as its director, where he played a significant role in a $65 million campaign. He retired from John Carroll University with the rank of full professor in 1996 and was granted Professor Emeritus status in 2001. He is listed in Outstanding Educators of America and has published articles in National Tax Journal and Ohio CPA.
